Imphal Airport is the second largest airport built in the Northeastern region of India, after Guwahati, and the third busiest airport in the north east region after Guwahati and Agartala located 8 km south of Imphal, the capital of Manipur, Imphal International Airport connects northeastern India with the country's major cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, and with the Myanmar city of Mandalay.
Imphal can be visited all around the year, barring the rainy months. The month of October is a pleasant one with clear skies and in November, the winter season starts. During this time, the weather is cold but foggy too. The days can be spent enjoying sightseeing and other fun activities. During January, the sun appears less in the sky and the temperatures can go down to zero degree Celsius. February again brings pleasant climate and March brings more of it.
